Can I choose the short-link slug?
Yes. Choose a memorable slug or leave it blank and WP IQ Links creates a unique slug from the internal link name.
Does WP IQ Links store visitor IP addresses?
No. Raw IP addresses are never stored. A salted one-way visitor hash is used to estimate unique clicks.
Can I use it for affiliate links?
Yes. The shortcode can add nofollow and sponsored attributes, and internal notes help record the partner or placement. Publishers remain responsible for clear affiliate disclosures.
What happens when an offer expires?
Set an expiration date, click limit, or pause the link. You can send visitors to a fallback page instead of showing an unavailable message.
Will changing the destination break the short link?
No. The branded URL stays the same while you update its destination and redirect behavior from WordPress.
